From Captain: The In Between" is a songbook for our modern times. It is the median, in a racing highway, chasing hope in one direction, while facing the oncoming burdens. These are not songs of desperation or melancholy. They literally face the music provided, then rewrite the narrative. It conjures a tale of ingenuity in times of reckoning. This album begins from observation, then it weaves new fabric, completely transforming the story by its end.

By its nature, this opens as an indie rock album, disguised in the clothes of folk and legends. Its opening numbers, leading up to the title track, continue the feel of "Gold Rust & Bone", with the cresting waves of Fae's vocals, the subtle but firm rhythms, and Ron's driving lead guitar. Towards the middle, SeaStar returns to its Celtic and seafaring roots, mixing the genres further, leading into a literary inspired acapella. The album finishes returning to how it started... rocking into insightful contemplations, with rock savvy, and traditional SeaStar style.

The band has endured alongside you, took notes, and wrote the songs that tell you that we are in this together. And yet, it also says, we will fight this, together. It is as much entertainment, as it is companionship. It as much an album, as it is a letter from the heart of the moment. SeaStar is a fabric of its elements, and of the times. Those times are shared, and this is the soundtrack.

The pandemic changed many things... This is a new sound for SeaStar. It's honest, raw, fiery, and unbreakable.
