Hi! I am an award-winning singer/songwriter, a voting member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs), a touring professional musician, and owner of my own music school for over 15 years, Syren's Voice.
Music is my life! From singing since before I could speak, to backyard concerts for squirrels, to high school choir and theatre to receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre Performance from Roosevelt University's Theatre Conservatory in Chicago, to community theatre then professional musicals, to performing and composing Celtic Music professionally on the West Coast of Canada with a well known band, to record recording and releases, tours, festivals, and teaching throughout the US, Canada, Ireland, Turkey, Scotland, Poland, England, France, India, and Nepal, to opening my own school of music and becoming a voting member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs)! My life has never held a dull moment. I am so incredibly lucky to have had my experiences and I keep living true to who I am, Singer, Artist, Teacher.
My philosophy is simple: music is fun. I believe in musical excellence, discipline, technique, and performance. I believe in the importance of setting personal goals and in establishing the necessary structure to attain them. A music lesson is a collaboration between a teacher and a student, each of whom bring individual experiences, knowledge, personality and passion to the art of making music. My goal is to inspire confidence in others both as musicians and as individuals.
