The new record, Castle Walls, is composed of some of Fae's earliest works, traditional pieces that she adores, and some of her most recent tunes. Like a castle wall, the record contains a few foundational songs that Fae performed very early in her career. Stone by stone, story after story, the journey continues. Recorded during the first half of 2014, by Ron Allen at Four Lumen Studio in Kirkland, Washington, Fae continued to travel during the recording process. The record and arrangements seemed to be seasoned by her travels. She is very grateful for the fine friends and musicians who played on this album, often with little to no rehearsal. The record was mastered by Seattle legend, Chris Hanzsek. Castle Walls is a fine example of a songwriter's journey through mystery, history, love, and loss. |
